I have a link as well...but I am getting lots faster results.
I use the WAP54g Linksys AP's
Right now I am bursting at about 4 to 5 mb... at times
Winter was at 1.2 mbs or 130-140k

The settings have everything to do with the link...
I only have a 40% signal....
I use 2 antennas per AP

I am getting to old to climb on my sisters house.... UGHHH!!!

And as the spring sprung with the leaves out.... my sig gets better......
Go Figure.... Raining and foggy.... no problems
Winter cold caused 1 AP to get dumb... when it got to 0 degs F.
I have to reload the settings
Now I can switch it out.....
This system did not like wet snow.... but a pole and a broom do wonders...
This only happen once this winter.... and the pictures ... it was working
at about 1.3 mbs at my end

I use the Svensoft software... Best 20 bucks I have spent on this project.
All AP's and the main router for the system is in the plastic boxes....

All the WAP 54g's are in bridge mode and I use WEP, MAC, no SSID
an are invisible to the hand held sniffers out in the market....
I use a cable modem at my sisters home and the service is
the commercial rate so the Cable Co. will not have kittens.

Right now I have a Hotspot up using the Boingo system
which is seperate to the Hi-speed backbone.
It was fun setting all the stuff up so it would not interfere...

I use WAP54G's, WRV54g, BESFR11, WRT54g's
a number of switches.... and all 3 locations are double NATed...
No problems doing that except to change non routable
class C's around....

Note the settings.... This works the best for me....
Remember Timing settings are really touchy.....
I used 30 instead of 3 for my run.... you may
have to have a bigger delay at 9 miles.
