RE: Speakeasy +WIMAX

I rarely scrape the bottom of the barrel and buy bandwidth from the lowest bidder.  Cheap, fast, reliable, pick two.

The last thing I need is some local no-name ISP with an uplink to Cogent, trying to sell me FR T1's with mystery CIRs or inversed multiplexed T1's. 

There is more to connectivity than price.

	I don't know why you guys think it is that good of a deal (even for commercial grade service)...    A t1 loop to most anywhere in Seattle can be had for ~300/month and I know that at least the company I work for will offer unlimited IP bandwidth for a T1 at $130/month (190/month for 2 bonded T1s) in the seattle market with a 99.99% SLA.

	 

	In the walla walla and tri-cities markets I have customers paying $600 for 3 mbit (with burst to 45) over microwave DS3s and offer the same 99.99% SLA (but the frequencies are licensed).   In short, especially in a reasonably well wired city, the speakeasy prices are rather high.

	I think Casey's right.  I think for small business, this is a good deal.  I really don't think that the service (at this price point) is aimed at the consumer market.

	Yea... My Commercial Cable modem at 4 mb with a static IP only cost

	129.95... 69.95 if I wanted a dynamic IP....

	Home service is 49.95 for the same bandwith....

		The way capitalism works is new entrants come in at 1 penny less,
		or some other gimmick to gain market share for awhile. Then sell out
