I think your best bet is minipci.  None of the other Atheros cards I've seen
have detachable antenna connectors.  I think they are extra paranoid with
the 5GHz range...

The antenna on my D-Link PCI card (sorry I forget the exact model, let me
know if you are curious) is soldered directly to the board but if you're
willing to do some soldering in tight quarters it might be possible to lift
the antenna cable pretty cleanly and replace it with your own.

BTW, I have some spare wireless gear if anyone is interested in trading for
other goodies.  Top of my list is an ipw2200 minipci card and/or a prism GT
misipci card (must have a hard-mac for use with linux 2.6.x driver).

 - 1 or 2 D-Link PCI Atheros cards (as mentioned above)
 - 2 or 3 D-Link PCMCIA Atheros cards
 - 1 D-Link PCI PrismII card
 - About 5 Lucent Orinoco cards (the original! great for wardriving!)
 - One D-Link PCMCIA PrismII card
 - One Cisco PCMCIA wireless card
 - 14dBi flat panel directional antenna
 - Couple pigtails for above cards (Orinoco to N, r-SMS to N)

And some non-wireless but interesting stuff...

 - Couple 30GB Seagate drives
 - Fujitsu stylistic with .5G flash drive (great for portable wardriving!)
