Has anybody seen a box that can do overlapping WDS meshes on 11A and on 11B/G simultanously? Basically this would ideally act like a pre-n mesh by being able to simultanously choose from multiple paths as well as frequencies. The 11a link will dominate when LoS is available, 11b when LoS is not available. This will increase overall link reliability. This would be quite complex from a routing standpoint I imagine. when we try to do this with 2 radio boxes at each node, it gets complicated as you need to generally tell the mesh radio if it is a portal or just a repeating AP. Firetide is the only mesh I know where you dont need to specify the portals and it can adjust, although I am not really sure how. tyler Tyler van Houwelingen Founder and CEO Azulstar Networks, Inc. 1051 Jackson, Grand Haven, MI 49417 1117 Rio Rancho Blvd 13, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 1-877-AZULSTAR www.azulstar.com _______________________________________________ Talk mailing list [email protected] http://seattlewireless.net/mailman/listinfo/talk
