Verizon is also shipping Actiontech APs, at least here in Kirkland, that's what they shipped me when I signed up for their $30/month service this month. It is a model GT 704 WG and seems to have the odd quirk that I couldn't connect to the 4 ethernet ports or get the account up and running, without running MSIE6 and their CDROM software (on windows). So I hauled out an old computer, and infected that with all their "stuff" and gave it to my son... but I connect to the wireless segment without it. Re the SSID, it comes with SSID and a 64 bit WEP key on the sticker on the bottom, and WEP enabled, I have never bothered to change them, Todd At 01:56 PM 9/29/2005, you wrote: >Qwest DSL rules the land, especially with the recent deployment of many >remote DSLAMs ... they are shipping out tons of these wifi AP/dsl >routers. > >Sounds like its worse than the linksys community network ;) > >-----Original Message----- >From: [email protected] >[mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of C Black >Sent: Wednesday, September 28, 2005 7:12 PM >To: [email protected] >Subject: SSID Actiontech? > >I see this one at many places in the South Hill Area.
