Because it's a liveCD, you're essentially running in a ramdisk.  any
changes you make will get blown away on reboot.

just get (wget,ftp,scp,copy from usb) the image from
opensourcemesh.org

then symlink the ungzipped image to a file called 'image' on the
livecd (in the www root)

gunzip image.gz
ln -s latest image

Then when you boot your soekris (and hit ctrl-p, boot f0 if there's
already an OS installed) you would just choose step 1.

1. Start the automated Pyramid Linux install process via dd image
file

just FYI,

the pxeboot process loads a small linux kernel/initrd onto the soekris
box, and depending on which option you choose, does different
operations.

the menu you will see when using the serial console is here:

option 1 uses dd to bitcopy the image onto the drive.
option 2 boots and uses tar to unpack a tarball onto the drive.  (this
is generally used for flashing SVN builds)
