Are you referring to channels 1-6, aka the 13cm Hinternet at 2400-2450
MHz? The maximum allowable output for licensed users used to be 100W
PEP so long as anything over 1W uses automatic power control. AFAIK,
the max allowable for unlicensed use is still 1W. Has that changed or
am I misinterpreting the regs? Aside from that, I've always had better
luck with WLAN devices using channel 11 anyhow (2.451-2.473)...
