True, but in your original e-mail, I got the impression you were only  
interested in the mDNS aspects.  Since DNS-SD is a global discovery  
protocol, it scales to the entire planet, but it also requires that  
you configure each client machine so it knows where to register its  
services.  Here's some information for setting up wide-area discovery  
in Mac OS X Tiger.
