Doesn't work on embedded platform

I have an embedded platform.

On the development machine I can get tmdns to work just fine. But not 
so when I transport it to the embedded platform.
The initial communication runs fine until the point where tmdns should 
actually be listening for requests.
At that point it is deaf as a door nail.

The config file is the standard built by tmdns
