every time the thing boots up i have to manually run:

/etc/init.d/rc 2

the last message on /dev/tty1 is:

- runit: leave stage: /etc/runit/1
- runit: enter stage: /etc/runit/2

then nothing else, and that termainal becomes unresponsive.
