excellent.  i'm out for the weekend.  thanks for hooking that up.  
another idea i had was to put some crap in the string that is only 
viewable by machines.  ie..

2< span class=hidden>3238<span>5<div class=hidden>3</div>0

entering 250 would get a success to edit.  that is... if we have 
troubles with the current approach.  i have a feeling it is going to 
work.  i'm interested to trace down who is fuckin wiht us on this.  i'd 
like to see their business collapse.
