I'm going to have to agree on this one, give him the ol' "Cry me a 
fucking river." routine.

But in his defense, I'm sure he didn't want to have to move to Canada 
to get out of this.  It's just too damn bad that went this far.

Why shouldn't we accept him back after wartime? It is clear he took 
significant attempts to gain conscientious objector status.
