>It may seem a >bit on the tinfoil-hat-paranoia side of things [...] I don't know how many of you read Scientific American (I only really use it to pick up chicks), but the January issue had a really great article on RFID that pretty much outlined all of the downsides, as well as (obviously) hyping the upsides, one of the biggest of which was the inexpensiveness and availability of the raw materials. It seems like so many other things, a great tool that will undoubtedly be misused, like pretty much everything else we Americans get ahold of. One thing it did mention was the possibility of human implantation, and the fact that there were a LOT of companies racing to develop the first one that was durable, safe, and cheap enough to be used on the masses. If we're that close with people, getting them in money should be cake, and with as cheap as they are, running a few hundred thousand into the "NEW" new $20 bills (remember? this was the second, and by far mo st unneccesary change to the $20 in the last 5 years) couldn't be THAT hard. If you're going to get some tin-foil hats today, I'm a 7.5, I'll pay you (cash) if you grab one for me. ____________________________________________________________ Find what you are looking for with the Lycos Yellow Pages http://r.lycos.com/r/yp_emailfooter/http://yellowpages.lycos.com/default.asp?SRC=lycos10 _______________________________________________ heads mailing list [email protected] http://ballistichelmet.org/mailman/listinfo/heads/ http://ballistichelmet.org/donate/
