Does anyone know how that guy in Canby (Jeff?) dries his fuel?

Is there a convention for this? Brian is our technology guy and Seth is fuel technology ...what do they say?

We need to impliment a permanant solution for drying fuel. The current
configuration was designed as a test unit. It is not waterproof and I'm a
sure a big
gust of wind could knock it over. The barrel is very hard to
remove from the tote. It must be moved to do inspections and cleanning in
the tote. If we want to keep it then we need to do a few modifications. The
top could be sealed if we use a piece of hard plastic and a lot of silicone.
IMO, the barrel should be anchored to the roof of the conex and we could use
flex hose to drain down to the tote.
That or we scrap the barrel idea and go with the tubes inside a tote that
sprays the black painted sides. Either application will get its air blown in
from inside the conex.
Whadya think?

I think you're right. I don't know what a better process is, but it's
certainly an issue.

Hey Folks,
I am signed up to help make fuel for my first time this Saturday and was wondering what time you usually get started. I have to work early that morning but could be there around 9:15 or so

( as long as I don't get lost). Would that work? I really look forward to helping and learning.

Also, I may be able to help out Thursday night (10/26). How late are you guys usually around on Thursdays?

Thanks,
Jeffrey

Hi Jeffrey
We ususally get started around 9AM or so on Saturdays. Members mill in and
out thruout the day. Thurs. we get started around 4PM and work til 8 or 9.
It takes more than just a couple of visits to get comfortable with our
process. We would be happy to let you get in the way on Thurs but we really
have to focus on getting the reaction done if we are to get out at a
reasonable hour. Saturdays are more open to the variety of tasks that need
to be done at the site. Such as jug cleaning/recycling, wvo transfers and
there is an ongoing war with the blackberries. We usually have committees
that coordinate different tasks each weekend. Come down Thursday night and
get your feet wet.
Tom

Thanks for using the calendar. It helps us coordinate. Start times
depend on the mixmaster. Starting next month, we'll probably start
putting down start times on the calendar. It can vary from day to day.

Good to have you aboard, learning to make fuel. See you on Saturday.
If you get lost, call my cell phone 971-563-2477 and I'll give you
directions. The address is:

4684 SE Johnson Creek Blvd.

Here are directions:
