Zac, Here is a site sketch I have. I will be cleaning it up further and can send out updated copy tomorrow. Basically, this follows what the processor design cmte came up with (like Chet mentioned in other e-mail). _____ From: Zac Imboden [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Monday, October 23, 2006 11:55 AM To: Kramer, Peter Cc: Chet Knaup; Felix Kersting; wheelerk-/[email protected]; Seth Moody; Brian Jamison; T Tricola; [email protected]; [email protected]; Ron Buckner; Karen Kruse; GoBiodiesel Mixmasters Subject: Re: GoBiodiesel 10/21-22 -Great work accomplished! I'm thinking Friday of this week for the meeting. I think we should have it off-site so we can stay focused on coordination and not get bogged down starting to do actual tasks. But we need a sketch of the site, so we can visualize. I'll put together something. I'll add a meeting for Friday October 27th. I'm going to scout out a good place to meet. The Lucky Lab wasn't bad, but not enough light and a bit noisy. We need a good coffeehouse down near the water (sort of central to east and west). I'll email this group and the announce list when I get a venue. On Oct 22, 2006, at 10:28 PM, Kramer, Peter wrote: Jus a quick update to all that LOTS was done over the weekend! See e-mail below for all things accomplished on Sat. In addition to all that, today we also got the shed roof up cover ~10' x 13' just south of the shipping container! It was great effort by all who were down there this weekend (and a little help from mother nature with fantastic, sunny weather!) that got us to where we are. Where do we go from here?.. 1. No question about it! First and Foremost, we NEED a site coordination meeting to prioritize many of the specifics on site layout (both near term and long term once code review is complete); set up for this Tues or Thur?.. 2. Finish the remainder of the shed roof; follow same convention for 2x4 rafters and tin roof sheeting; we will just continue to extend shed roof to end of container (do not worry about size concerns or permitting at this time; this is a roof to get us thr the winter -if it can stay as permanent once code official review, GREAT!, if not, no big deal, at least we stayed dry this winter!); NEED: AT LEAST (4) MORE 26" X 12" PIECES OF TIN ROOF (purchased at any Lowes or H Depot). That should be it, you can scrounge around the site to cobble together 2x4 supports; nails w/ rubber grommets are in tool box in container; we used a nail gun for all lumber connections 3. NEED A DELIVERY OF ~4 YDS GRAVEL (someone will need to validate that estimate); this also needs approval for purchase by the board. 4. Once shed complete and gravel (or some good foundation material) is laid; re-locate washing totes, dryer, oil jug drainage system (old, converted oil tank) and a couple WVO totes 5. move generator storage, other small storage shed N of container, and methoxide mixer and shed to some location S of container (this is why we NEED a site planning meeting!) 6. finish clearing up area between Brian's place and container so Bluesky fuel distribution can re-locate 7. get the (4) new totes final cleaning done (awesome job on getting them to where they are in just one work party day!) so they can be ear-marked for use; glycerin storage, WVO, another dryer?.. Concurrent to all these items, Ron is moving ahead with our temporary electrical solution, and working close with Brian. Ron assures me he will have elec provided such that by Thur Mixmastering, no generator will be needed!!! While a number of these tasks are dependant on a site planning meeting taking place, I would at least encourage people to step up and help finish the shed in the mean-time. Weather is looking nice again for tomorrow, after that, starting to get a little dicey. If you want to go down to gain some more headway on this, I can't guarantee who else will be there, but there's a really good chance Bio, the black cat will be. He's always there!! Zac will be following up with specifics for a site coordination meeting. Thanks again all for an awesome weekend. Pete p.s. Ron also got at least a few more hours of drying in for the fuel. Check with Ron on status and if its ready for distribution. Back near the other totes by Solution: Stack it near the totes, central to all with enough room to to establish gravity feed to all totes. This may mean lowering moved to make room. Problem: Zack advised that there are restrictions to size of the roof per less than 120 square feet. Nobody, including myself wanted to do will not meet code for the roof joists. He was going to work on the shelter and informed us of will meet this next Friday with Zack?, Tom?, and Felix to see what can be done and draw up plans (what a _______________________________________________ mixmasters mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gobiodiesel.org/mailman/listinfo/mixmasters
