This week: Heat and settle oil in reactors #1 and #2. These are dewatering tests. Preheat oil in heater #2 Thursday: make a batch of fuel, approximately 40 gallons. Saturday: Drain glycerin and wash. React second batch. In the next few weeks: Organize group tasked with building a heated settling tote. The methodology will be to use the BBQ tank to collect oil from greasemasters. We will pump from this tote, through a filter into the low-heat oil tank. We will pump from here, through a finer filter, into our oil heaters (converted water heaters) for heating and settling out the rest of the water and heating the oil for reaction. Add plumbing to make reactor #2 ready to roll. We need to attach a pump, add a methoxide inlet, etc. Finish wash vessel plumbing. Is the wash ready to go? Should we use the inline heater to heat it? Water-proof the BBQ or replace it.
