However, it is worth noting that Carson Oil is a local Oregon company who has been doing business here for a long time as well. So while not as "warm and fuzzy" it is still not as evil as Exxon- Mobil. :) Competition is good. Carson's B99 was $3.10 at our last bill, and SQ at last check was at best $3.17 and at worst $3.30. Also, Carson's facility on NW 35th is very nice, well lit, easily accessible, has nice clean pumps, and paper towells and whatnot. Whereas a few of Star Oilco's facilities are nasty dirty and look like hacks. Star Oilco bills every two weeks, Carson once a month. SQ and Star Oilco via Leathers and others have regular retail where you can pay with a credit card, debit card, cash or whatever... And then there is BlueSky and we all know how that works... So there are lots of options. I think that demand is increasing so it is all good really. Just make sure that it is biodiesel from American oil stocks - not imported palm oil. Just my experience, I am spreading my money around as best I can... I only have so much... And if you have the time - join the co-op! That is the best all around! Oh, and work to keep mechanics from scaring people away from Biodiesel. Had Hillside Imports this week scare friends away from bio claiming it would kill their TDI. (Which they had bought from me, and I had been running bio in for 50k miles).
