Combination BioDiesel Processor and Methoxide Mixer
By Alternative Fuel Works

        This system has been designed to produce 50-gallons of methyl ester
(BioDiesel) from Waste Vegetable Oil (WVO) and/or, purify 50-gallons
of WVO for Straight Vegetable Oil (SVO) as fuel, every 4 hours or
less.  User will supply wash and storage system.  This processor has
been developed with safety, efficiency, production and economics in
mind to produce high quality "Alternative Fuel", BioDiesel!
        Processor system is new, tested and can be delivered ASAP. As an
added offering, I will provide training on its proper operation, use
and safety.  Alternative Fuel Works (AFW) or its associates will
assume no liability from operator error or malfunction.
        BioDiesel Processor:  This is a 50-gallon, 65-gallon total capacity,
sealable carbon steel tank with a cone bottom that is a stand-alone
unit.  A series of by-pass valves allows for purifying the methyl
ester (ME), once the glycerin has been removed, using a product know
as Magnasol.  A filtration system is used to remove the Magnasol
through bag filters, using 25, 10, 1 micron (nominal), to sub micron
(0.5) absolute if desired, thus reducing the amount of wash time and
water.  Tests that I have conducted have shown that using Magnasol
only with NO washing, meets a minimum ASTM test.  Further washing does
meet and exceed quality testing and provides a fuel of the highest
integrity.  A ½ HP explosion proof motor and positive displacement
pump with Viton impellers, is used to supply WVO intake, mix and
discharge by-products to specific containers.  System contains a flow
control safety switch to shut off current to the 5.5kw heat source
that is removable and used to heat the WVO in case of pump failure.
Also included is an internal 50 to 300F thermometer, 0 to 30 psi
gauge, electrical control panel for control of pump and heater using
timers in a liquid tight box, sight glass and valves, venting valve to
outside (no fumes inside the building) and outside is coated with a 2
part epoxy.
        Methoxide Mixer:  This is a stainless steel 10-gallon, 15-gallon
total capacity, containing a ½" air operated double diaphragm pump.
NOTE: you will need a medium duty compressor to operate pump.  NO
electricity involved in the methoxide mix process.  All joints and
valves are TIG welded socket type connections, 3-piece stainless steel
ball valves, sealable top entry port for adding the caustic base
(sodium or potassium) and venting fumes to outside (no fumes inside),
sight glass and valves, grounding leads, quick release liquid tight
connector for transferring potassium methoxide mix to the BioDiesel
processor.  5/8" polypropylene tubing is used to suction and transfer
the liquid respectively.
        All construction and design work has been developed tested and
created by AFW with respect for its function and design.  A production
systems upgrade made totally with stainless steel components is
available in 10 to 250-gallon size processors.  There is over
$4,000.00 in quality components for these two systems.
