SVO as heating oil

I just got back from SolWest about a week ago where
one of the exibitors was saying it was possible to use
SVO as heating oil if you mix it with diesel in a
50/50
blend and heat the oil going into the burner.  

Does anyone know where I can get more info on this or
where I can see it being done?
