Hi Jeanette - Something I forgot to mention in my reply last week - www.thedieselstop.com If you were to be looking to learn more about the truck and alternative fuels you can find many very helpful people and much info on the 'alterative fuels' forum on the diesel stop. I've gone so far as to rebuild the fuel injectors on my F250 with help form TDS forums. Lastly, if you have a hard time doing the diagnosis on your truck I would be willing to take a look if we could find a time that works. swn -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jeanette McMahon Sent: Saturday, August 26, 2006 12:35 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [pdx-biodiesel] RE: responses to my F250 starting problems Thanks to everyone who has responded to my initial post! For the person who asked me to clarify what I meant by "won't turn over"...when I turn the key initially to heat up the glow plugs before actually starting the truck, both the voltometer and the oil pressure gauge snap down to zero. Then, once the "Wait to Start" light goes out, even if I try turning the key all the way to start up the truck, not a thing happens - no noise, nothing. It seems there is a drain on the juice somewhere, whether it's a bad/dirty connector or just a bad battery. Thanks, Felix for mentioning the Schucks option - and yeah, I know these are heavy duty batteries, so I'm prepared if it comes down to shelling out cash to replace one or both of them. I won't be able to test everything out until sometime late next week or possibly after the long weekend, but I'll put a post up when I find out what's going on. It's always good to have a resource like this. Thanks again!
