I use an additive that lowers the gel point of diesel, it has worked  
for me through four winters.  Amsoil Diesel Concentrate, which has  
been reformulated this year and is now specifically recommended for  
biodiesel.  I sell Amsoil products, including true synthetic motor  
oil and other high performance, extended drain interval lubricants,  
at a discount to biodiesel users.

In REALLY cold weather once, I mixed in 10% winterized petrodiesel.   
So far I have never been stopped by gelled fuel.
