I agree with felix - you can find all sorts of enthusiasts for even AMC Gremlins out there if you bother to look. I'm sure there are parts around, some may have to be used, but they're out there. Good luck! A guy in our biodiesel group up here drives an old but very nice condition toyota corolla diesel (I think it's a corolla, might be something slightly different but small family car) and has had it for years without incident.
