Re: need for Refuse to Be Victim class

This is especially a "womens" issue.  Back in the late 1990s I and other 
women talked to some of the Albuquerque elected officials about womens' 
self-defense.  The only kind of response we could get was that women 
need to call the police quickly and maybe use something like pepper 
gas.  But most of them had no real solutions.  For those of us who have 
lived in bigger cities in the past, we know that something much better 
is needed since it can take the police a good 30 minutes to get to the 
place of the crime.
