Please note that HB 588 lifts the restriction only for those people with a
valid NM Concealed Handgun License.

New Mexico [3/17] - 1 AM.

 

HB 588 has just passed the Senate Floor. It now heads to Gov. Richardson. He
has agreed to sign it. The Alcohol restriction on carrying where alcohol is
sold for off-premises consumption will be lifted July 1. 

 

SB 39 - the Castle Doctrine has had a minor amendment but it appears that it
may also succeed. The session ends at noon today.
