When a non-informed audience uses terms like "non-commercial", "free for
research" and similar terms to describe a program, what it means most of
the time is that only some usages are implied/allowed, i.e. the program
is proprietary because it doesn't give you freedom 0 (quoting it from
the link I provided you in the previous email): "The freedom to run the
program as you wish, for any purpose."

Maybe you didn't mean anything like that, but then maybe you could be
more clear.
