The thing is, I do not know (yet, I have to read...) how to customize
the colophon myself and I suppose one have to use git right?

My 2 euro-cents: basic use of Weblate would be _much_ better:

- for non programmers 
- for not that good programmers (like myself)
- or simply to easy the contribution process and make it 
  not too much difficult to contribute to

or I am missing something (not that unusual for me)
