The newsletter is short this month, but I have unusually few suggestions to make. If you think that any of my suggestions are improvements, you might suggest that translators consider them, whether or not you change the online version. The text version does not have a citation or other reference to the response. This should go between [1] and [2], but this would require renumbering. And, besides, I do not expect that there will be any revision of the text version sent out. 2. Heading: "Reviving I love FS celebration and at the booth around Europe" "=3D=3D=3D Reviving I love FS celebration and at the booth around = Europe =3D=3D=3D" (a) I think that it would be desirable to replace "Reviving," perhaps with "Revisiting." To revive means to (literally) restore to life, or more figuratively to restore to consciousness or strength. I had not been aware that ILFS had lost its life, its consciousness, or even its strength. I do not think that you should suggest that it had. (b) I suggest inserting "the" before "I." English usage. (It is possible to omit articles from a heading, but this is consistent with the use of "the" before "booth.") (c) I suggest replacing "booth" with "booths." To use the singular form suggests that the same booth was taken from place to place. It seems more likely that there were different booths in at least some places. 3. Thank you for helping us navigate this unexpected financial challenge! =3D=3D=3D Interoperability, Policy and Local Groups =3D=3D=3D A few weeks ago, our team contributed to a consultation by the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) on interoperability under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act (DMCCA). In our response, we urged the CMA to reject Apple=E2=80=99s voluntary interoperability commitments and instead impose binding, interoperability-by-design obligations that protect software freedom, consumer choice, and fair competition. We also have two new episodes of our Software Freedom Podcast for you: in episode 49, we speak with a member of our local group in Zurich [2], offering insights into their work, local engagement, and the importance of community-driven initiatives in advancing Software Freedom. Besides, over the past weeks, we have been actively participating in events across Europe. At the Chemnitzer Linux-Tage 2026 in Chemnitz, Germany (one of the country=E2=80=99s largest and longest-running conferenc= es dedicated to Free Software), we had the opportunity to meet community members, exchange ideas, and engage with a diverse audience through workshops, talks, and discussions. Together with some of our German volunteers, we were present with a booth and contributed a talk sharing practical insights on Free Software licensing with developers. Also in Germany, we joined the 26th Gautinger Internet Meeting, where we contributed to discussions on digital sovereignty. There we presented our youth activities, including Youth Hacking for Freedom and the well-known children=E2=80=99s book =E2=80=9CAda & Zangemann=E2=80=9D, highl= ighting the importance of empowering young people to keep their curiosity and to understand and shape technology to achieve digital sovereignty. And last but not least, we took part in the panel discussion =E2=80=9CWhat = does Digital Sovereignty mean for Civil Society?=E2=80=9D, organised by the ISOC Switzerland Chapter in Zurich, Switzerland.
