Good work Mike.
I have no comments about the commands you suggested but the most important
for me that you should be able to give flixibility to add extra commands in
the future (which I think you supported it)

Anyhow, how you want to access the registers? and transfer data from BB?


Here is how I see the sstem
1) Bluez (bluetooth higher layers)
----------------------
2) HCI (UART/USB, uController, firmware and LMP
-------------------------
3) Baseband (registers, clocks, PCM.......)
-----------------------------
4) RF

we have to define the interfaces between these layers so and build the
emulator for each of them alone so that we can supply and test the real
design in each layer alone.

Why do not you try to summarize all the points in the document toreview it
and start the real work.
