VDQ : googlesyndication.com

I have http://www.ii.com/internet/messaging/imap/isps/ open on Firefox,
and have told the noscript extension to allow ii.com.

Now it says scripts are partially allowed, and when I click on options, it
shows googlesyndication.com as not allowed. What is that site? What does
it do?

If/when I want to google something, I'll do it on a google tab, probably
on a different browser; if googlesyndication is one of those little
nasties that searches all of the web when what you're trying to do is
search the site itself, good riddance.

The site googlesyndication.com doesn't seem to tell me what allowing it on
another site will do.
