OK : the FM collection now has one called "incoming-abiword" -- and, I
restrain myself with difficulty from adding "incoming-novalug" ... <grin>

Aha! I either hadn't spotted that, or hadn't realized what it meant, or
both -- there are a big raft of options on FM.

I presume I can specify Subject a/o Cc: a/o etc, as I can in pine; but I
don't knkow yet whether the conditions will be additive or or-ative, if
that's a word : will they all have to be satisfied, or any? (I may want
one rule or several).

But there's a problem. I clicked on the little down arrow (triangle) to
show the list of folders, and incoming-abiword wasn't there; so I logged
out and back; it still wasn't. But I had managed yesterday to create a
folder named abiword, though not to see how to file into it. So I used
that, assuming I'll be able to rename it later -- or delete it: this is a
list that I don't set to nomail only because its server won't let me.

I did *not* take their advice about getting things into my inbox in spite
of the rule, since the purpose is precisely to get that list *out* of my
inbox

Did that.

I *think* those little checkboxes by each message *might* give a way to
move the extant abiword ones. I think. But one this morning had a little
blue asterisk in it -- and when I tried clicking that, Firefox popped up
a box asking me about unzipping, or decompressing, or something ...

Hmmm .... If I still smoked a pipe, I would imagine myself hovering in
