WP 8 runs on a non-networked non-essential machine that has on old
version of glibc. I found the instructions somewhere, but it's been so
long that I don't remember, sorry.

Michael Cowpland, the former president of Corel, was the big Linux
advocate at the company. The board got scared and dumped Cowpland.
There is a lot we could speculate about: a cash infusion from Microsoft,
the demise of companies like Loki (and how Corel could mirror that
demise), Corel's earnings... I'm not sure that even with the extra cash
Corel is going to make it through the next few years. A couple of years
ago Corel Magazine in the UK died a horrible death. It reminded me of
when OS/2 Magazine went under and was later followed by OS/2.

Unfortunately the Gimp doesn't do vector graphics, at least not like Illustrator or Corel Draw.
I miss Photo-Paint (which is also bitmap) for Linux!

Cheers,
