That is one of the major goals of the FSEDU :

1. to advocate the rights of the student to choose to use free
software.
2. to publicly denounce the organizations that by contract eliminate
the ability of students to use free software only.


one student does not matter to the university, but a public statement
about the way that they take away the basic rights of the students may
help them change thier minds.

I am sure that there are some universities that will allow students to
choose free software, we need to find them and convince the others to
do the same.

you might say that public embarassment is not a good tatic, but I think
that most of these companies just dont care at all, they may start
caring when enought people start to make noise.
