I think the open source community needs to send a letter to
Microsoft thanking them for their continued support of open
source operating systems and asking them to continue writing
the crap they write.  With each article like the above, I
get more and more people asking me about this thing they've
heard might be an alternative to their woes. It would
certainly save me some time if I didn't have to run around
and check everyone else's system every five minutes.

Then again, I think the non-Microsoft community is living on
borrowed time with respect to virus attacks.  Granted, root
is isolated, and so Joe/Jane Average User is unlikely to
open an attachment that will wipe out his/her universe.  But
if hackers put their minds to exposing flaws in Linux, et
al, I could spend a lot of time patching those systems too.
I just believe that such exploits would be patched faster
than they spread, unlike Microcrap's software.
