The downloads section of http://k12os.org has case studies and
PowerPoint (OO Impress) presentations that several educators have done.

We've been very successful in Oregon with many schools using Linux in
the infrastructure levels and many more moving to K12LTSP/Red Hat based
thin-clients. We still don't have a way to determine exactly how many
schools are using K12LTSP but at NECC (large tech/edu conference)
teachers from all over the WORLD came up to our Open Source Lab and said
they were using it in their schools. We must have at least 100 schools
here in Oregon already with more on the way.

Just a couple of examples you'll find on the K12OS.org sie, our new high
school opened last year saving $40,000 in hardware and .5 FTE in support
by using Red Hat Linux thin-clients.

The Multnomah County Educational Service (largest public school ISP in
Oregon) has documented recurring savings of over $200,000 a year by
using Linux.

The K12Linux motto is, "It works. It's free. Duh..."
