I agree. Mozilla/Mozilla-Mail should be in there. With that, everything
you have shown is x-platform which is would be a neat teaching moment.

Abiword might be a neat (I'm a big abiword fan for 95% of my writing
needs). It's also X-platform.

As for the non-cross-platform stuff. I am sure you are going to go over
the menus, how menus are a wee-bit different per distro? Where to find
help! That should most definately be on the list of things to discuss
IMO.

I also agree with someones mention of "How to work with floppies" (to
paraphrase.

Good luck. Sounds good! I think what needs to be taught will nicely fall
into place after the first or second iteration of the class. Please keep
us posted with the results.
