I'm assisting someone who is trying to reply to email from some people
she met on a cruise. She gave them her email, they emailed her from
Mexico. She didn't get their email in writing - she only has it in the
email they sent her.

When she tries to reply, the email bounces.

The username has an accented character.

When it was forwarded to me, the username came out as:

garduñosonig_2000

She says:

when I receive the email one of the letters has an "o" with an accent
over it. When I open the email the "o" becomes a capital "O" with the
accent and when I reply to the email the "o" becomes an "n" with the
accent over it. I get an error message no matter how I send it.

I don't know which accent is over the "o" - I'm asking for more info
about that now. It is possible that the letter is an "n" that then
turns into an "o" etc.

The people in Mexico have a mx.yahoo.com address.

The sender is sending thru AOL. I can probably get her to use a
different email service (e.g. get a Gmail account, or a Yahoo account)
if this can be easily solved by going with some other email provider.
