Personally I'd not touch 1&1, Fasthosts, nor any of the other "pile 'em
high, sell 'em cheap" operations.  I do a lot of work on dedicated
servers at Bytemark (www.bytemark.co.uk) and am very pleased with them.
I've also seen plenty of technical people recommend their virtual
machines.

The exchange rate isn't exactly working in your favour these days
though :(

(I should admit that I do get a kickback on referrals, but only if you
tell them it was me that sent you :)
