Here, if you were near the river (or ocean), you'd likely be in a flood zone, which would not be desirable. If you were further from the river, pumping costs and right-of-way costs would probably negate much of the savings. Here, we take in cool air during the winter months. Our winter humidity is about what we'd want anyways. We have excess heat about 360 days a year (on the rare occassion when it's -20f, temperature in our datacenter drops into the 60f range instead of 70f.) I'd like to figure out a way to use the heat we waste.
