All our shared web hosts, DNS, NMS etc runs FreeBSD.  Only found one  
thing so far that I could not make work (magento ecommerece stuff).   
Once up and running, I find that FreeBSD is more flexible and stable  
than the Linux distros we use.  Need a bleeding edge PHP?  It's  
probably in ports, no big deal.  Does take a long time to get a new  
system running.

On the Linux side, we use CentOS and a little Ubuntu.  Updates to  
kernels come along pretty often, so you have to reboot.  CentOS  
packages tend to be a bit older than some developers like.   
Maintaining software outside of the distro's update scheme is a pain.   
But you can get a new Linux box up and running very quickly.

MySQL was a bit of a dog on FreeBSD 4 and 5.  6 and 7 run MySQL really  
fast now.

If you know FreeBSD and like FreeBSD, stick with FreeBSD.
