Solaris 5.10 machine with wu-ftpd. Pretty default/vanilla install.

Have a problem that we can't seem to figure out.

Have a RH box that sits in the same subnet as the solaris machine.

When we ftp from the RH machine to the Solaris machine we can log in fine.

Here is what we cant figure out. Active FTP's work fine. Directory
listings are working, file transfers are working etc.

When we issue the passive command and turn passive on things hang on ls
and any file transfers.

Redhat machine is not running any FW type software.

/sbin/service iptables status shows its off.

Anyone have any ideas why passive fails but active works? Any pointers on
what to look for in this case?

Machines are on same subnet, switch and vlan.

Thanks!
Keith.
