Personally I'm not fond of greylisting. We use the Spamhaus DNSBL which is fairly good about not listing people unless it's apparent that no-one is interested in fixing the problem. We are also fairly conservative in our use of other mechanisms which would lead to policy rejection of e-Mail and consequently we deal with *extremely few* false positives. Nevertheless, we have taken pains to provide paths of recourse to people who's legitimate mail has been blocked by the filter (including one or more of: an automatic whitelisting facility, an address to contact for help)- the particulars of which are sent in the rejection text at SMTP time. This makes sense (unless your filters are infalible- and who's are?).
