I have laid a number of complaints this year as well.
Not a single response from them (MTN or Vodacom).

Someone will have to "make them" see the light.

I'm sure there is someone important enough on this list they might listen
to?

Vodacom assured ISPA they would look into abuse issues, someone even took
personal responsibility to ensure the matter would get attention because of
the reputation damage to Vodacom.

Several months and many emails later and my follow-ups continue to get
ignored. I guess it's simply not a priority. They don't see users on other
networks, or competing ISPs, as relevant to their business.

I've an argument that goes "the costs of running a functional abuse desk is
greater the income derived from selling data to users of compromised
computers" which they dismissed as fantasy.

So it's evolved to "the costs of running a functional abuse desk is greater
than the damage to network reputation incurred by not doing so"

If a company can spend millions on rebranding ...
