Re: How to commemorate the upcoming 20th anniversary of first Internet connection?

Having been at the other end of one of those very early link ups, Wits 
was an early TCP/IP connector to Uninet although I don't remember exact 
dates, I will follow your celebrations with great interest.

I of course became a UNINET "board" member shortly thereafter working 
with Vic Shaw to build on the great work done at Rhodes and link the 
Universities together.

BTW I expect to be playing at the Croquet Nationals in Port Alfred 
during the first week in October.  If I get a chance maybe we can get 
together to reminisce about those early days.   Mike will be doing so at 
i-Week, so he tells me, and that it will be a great time of 
retrospection and "how the blazes did we get here" chat.
