Hello!  My company needs a NOC Manager - job

regardless of what type of data is being downloaded.

Job Description:
This role plays a seminal part in the architecting and
implementation of Netli¡¦s world-wide multi-provider
network.  The NOC Manager is the primary interface
with customers, vendors, engineering and technical
support regarding Netli¡¦s Network Operations.  This
position is responsible for scheduling activities to
ensure that our network runs at peak efficiency.  The
NOC Manager handles escalations between our network
and outside vendors and customers; hires and manages
the NOC team; and keeps upper management abreast of
NOC activities.  This is a hands-on position; intimate
knowledge of IP-based network internals is required.

Responsibilities:
„X	Establish and manage the growth of the Netli
Operations Center.
„X	Managing operations of 24/7 network to have no
unscheduled downtime
„X	Developing, implementing, documenting and enforcing
NOC policies and procedures
„X	Developing and managing vendor relationships.
„X	Hiring, training, and motivating NOC staff.
„X	Coordinating with customers, development groups,
and vendors the rollout of software updates and
installation of new equipment and facilities.
„X	Maintain a good relationship with difficult
customers while resolving their issues quickly.
„X	Providing Netli upper management, business
development and sales organizations with needed and
relevant information; managing the requests of
above-mentioned departments through project
completion.
„X	Making sound technological and business decisions
in a resource restricted environment
„X	Staying aware of technological developments in the
networking industry and finding best ways of applying
developments at Netli.
„X	Tool specification, definition and selection
„X	Working with Engineering organization to specify
and architect network; coordinate with Engineering in
its implementation.

Requirements:
„X	Three or more years managing NOC environments,
preferably for a larger ISP, ASP, web hosting
facility, data center or telecommunications company.
„X	Direct experience in dealing with carriers, colo
centers, and remote operations.
„X	Knowledge of common network intrusion methods and
detection / avoidance techniques.
„X	Experience defining and implementing network
security practices.
„X	Understanding of TCP/IP-based protocols internals
including routing protocols. 
„X	Ability to quickly diagnose network operation
issues using common network tools.
„X	Successful project management experience.
„X	Ability to be hands-on with technology and lead in
problem analysis and resolution.
„X	A desire to mentor and share knowledge with
colleagues and reports
„X	The ability to have fun while working hard and
motivating/influencing others in a fast-paced
atmosphere. 
„X	Willingness to work long hours to achieve goals. 
„X	BS/MS in CS preferred.
„X	Achievement orientation; strong commitment to
provide top-rate service to internal and external
customers.
„X	Excellent listening, judgment and communication
skills; an organized and systematic mind
