Do the edgecore do proper hybrid vlan? Aka Routing Any to Any (including
untagged AKA native)?

That was a major drawback of the Routerboard range.

I'm still a big fan of anything running Openwrt mainline; and I still find
that cheap j1900 /n3560 ATOM braswell based ones with x86 are far more
flexible than anything commercially bundled.
You can get a 4 port j1900 for 50$ and if you want to do Layer3 stuff then
the 3160 version is another 100$ or so (and includes AES-NX).

Point me at something that can do Layer3 routing at 5Gbit with high
PPS/small packets with encryption for that price point that doesn't come
with weirdness - I have been looking for a while.
