Status of apache 2 licensing

Hi. I have been monitoring the discussion on the list concerning 
consolidating the Chandler licensing to Apache 2 license. Can you advise 
whether anything definitive has been determined. I have been interested 
in using the UUID code outside of Chandler.  Many thanks.
