(cons + virama + ukar) > <grin> I know this is humour from Mahesh, but at least this one is clear: if you want _explicit_ saṃvṛtōkāraṃ (സംവൃതോകാരം, samvrutokaram), the encoding should be <U+0D41, U+0D4D> (\u0D41\u0D4D) and it is unambiguous. No additionnal codepoint is needed, nor is envisionned. Having said that, not all the rendering engine honours it (renders it correctly, i.e. without disgracious circle intermixed), you better have to use recent versions. Same for the fonts. Antoine
