Will you please clarify this statement of yours? especially the
`rectified ... manorama web edition fonts' part?

Ah. You misunderstand the license  terms of CDAC fonts. The license is
not `free'.

CDAC fonts  are *not* distributed  by SMC. Please  correct me if  I am
wrong.  If you are refering  to the font files named nonstd-ml-0?.ttf;
these are  in fact  Akruti Fonts in  non-standard encodings  to enable
people view  HTML pages composed in non-standard  encodings using free
fonts. Such re-encoding  is not permitted by terms  of the CDAC fonts'
licenses. 

I think we should  be able to release the OTF Rachana  fonts in a week
or so. Work is progressing much faster than I expected ...
