Found a few points to note in the National Cyber Security Policy 2013 notification issued today. http://deity.gov.in/sites/upload_files/dit/files/National%20Cyber%20Security%20Policy%20%281%29_0.pdf Page 4: "*To create a workforce of 500,000 professionals skilled in cyber security in the next 5 years*" (there were discussion threads earlier on this on the list; I think from recruiting "*4,446 in 6 months*" the goal has now risen to "*500,000 in 5 years*") Page 6: "*To encourage use of open standards to facilitate interoperability and data exchange among different products or services.*" Page 7: "*To encourage wider use of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) within Government for trusted communication and transactions.*" (There was the www.pki-outreach.in initiative, though not sure of its status of awareness/implementation; the website seems dud.
