If someone could photograph the internet; the Indian politicians would
be glad to pose in front of it. Indian politicians are not
anti-technology per se. They love to be photographed handing out
tablets, and laptops to students, and inaugurating IT companies. It's
just Internet access that seems to be a blind spot because there isn't
enough voter education on it.

Figuring in the 100s in global rankings isn't new for India - we are
110th on PPP; 120th for tax collection; but 150+ indicates clear lack
of priority.

Though broadband penetration has been spoken of by leaders in the US,
UK, China, Brazil, Singapore and diverse other countries I can't
recall too much mention made of it by any significant Indian leader.
